Making of the 6-day-play

panel discussion

24 years after the first staging of Nitsch’s opus magnum the “6-day-play” in 1998, the first two days of the 2nd version will be performed in Prinzendorf this July. The preparations in Prinzendorf offer an ideal opportunity to invite actors of the big action performance to a panel discussion at the closely located nitsch museum in Mistelbach.

Vienna Art Week 2022

Open House

The Nitsch Foundation explores with another exhibition the ideas of synaesthesia in the Orgies Mysteries Theater and traces the meaning and significance of the interplay between the various sensory impressions in Hermann Nitsch’s work. The centerpiece is the installation “synaesthesia room” created in 2016, a collaborative work by Hermann Nitsch and Frank Gassner, which invites visitors to a sensual audio-visual experience.
