Joseph Sakoilsky

Joseph Sakoilsky is an actionist painter and sculptor. His relationship with the work of Hermann Nitsch began in his childhood, when he met Nitsch at an exhibition in London. He has since closely followed Nitsch’s work and been influenced by it. Among other things, Sakoilsky has attended Prinzendorf castle several times, and taken part in several actions.

Biography

Joseph Sakoilsky (b.1992), London. Currently residing and working in Vienna. Sakoilsky made his bachelor degree in Graphic design and Illustration at the University of East London. The artist is working predominantly with painting, sculpture and performance art. He is associated with post-radical actionism. Sakoilsky is characterised by his grotesque humorous approach towards life itself, encouraging the viewer to discover the absurdity and self irony in their own human existence.
