18 April 2023 marks the first anniversary of the artist Hermann Nitsch’s passing. To honor this occasion, the Nitsch Foundation invites to a performance of his composition for a string quintet “1938”.
The four-movement work premiered at the Nitsch Foundation in 2013 as part of the exhibition “Hören” (Listening) and was performed a second time a few months later at the nitsch museum in Mistelbach on the artist’s 74th birthday by the Weinviertel ensemble “Fieno d’Archi”.
In memory of the master of the Gesamtkunstwerk, the “Zhubanov Quintet” is now performing the piece once again.
