To mark Hermann Nitsch’s birthday, a song recital with soprano Hila Fahima will take place at the nitsch museum on Saturday, 29 August 2026!

The Israeli soprano Hila Fahima is among the most captivating voices of her generation. With her radiant stage presence, exceptional ease, and impressive precision, she has earned international acclaim. Her versatility and technical brilliance enthrall audiences and critics alike – on the great opera and concert stages of Europe and beyond.

At the age of 22, Hila Fahima became a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, later followed by an engagement at the Vienna State Opera. Since then, numerous appearances have taken her to renowned houses such as the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, La Scala in Milan, the Hamburg State Opera, and the Krakow Opera. She is also a sought-after soloist on the concert stage and has collaborated with orchestras including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestre de Radio France.

To celebrate Hermann Nitsch’s birthday, Hila Fahima will be joined on stage by Sophie & Ania Druml on August 29, 2026. The sisters are among the most outstanding musicians of their generation and have been described by the Kleine Zeitung newspaper as “shooting stars of the Austrian music scene.” They perform with the utmost virtuosity, sensitivity, and musical depth on piano, violin, and cello. In addition to their international solo careers, they have been performing together regularly since 2020, creating truly memorable musical experiences.

At the Nitsch Museum, Hila Fahima and Sophie & Ania Druml will perform selected works by Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler, George Frideric Handel, Franz Liszt, and Gaetano Donizetti. An extraordinary concert evening that unites musical passion, expressiveness, and intensity – entirely in the spirit of Hermann Nitsch.
