At the end of the season, the nitsch museum in Mistelbach invites you to the finissage on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Take the last chance to visit the exhibition “Hermann nitsch. the 6-day-play”, which was shown in cooperation with the Albertina Vienna.

Programme:

  • film screening in the auditorium: “HN. Hermann Nitsch” (Production: Daniela Ambrosoli/Polyfilm)
  • guided tour through the exhibition with Michael Karrer, artistic director
  • Christoph Mayer, managing director of the nitsch museum in conversation with the curators of the exhibition Rita Nitsch and Michael Karrer
  • fare well with bread and wine accompanied by the “Wienerlied”-duo Richard Reinberger & Rudi Korbes in the foyer of the museum

The nitsch museum will close its doors for this year at around 6 pm.

The new season will open on Saturday, 2 March 2024 with the exhibition: “Raumdramaturgie” by Andrea Cusumono. Besides being an award winning italian artist, Andrea Cusumano was not only a student, assistant and musical director of Hermann Nitsch’s orgies mysteries theater, but also teacher at the prestigious Goldsmith University in London, city councelour for culture in Palermo, director of Manifesta 12, as well as founder and artistic director of the BAM – Biennale Arcipelago Mediterraneo.
The permanent exhibition “Hermann Nitsch” in the side hall and the crypt of the museum will accompany this largest solo show of Andrea Cusumano in Austria since 2000.
