On August 30, the Friends’ Association of the nitsch museum invites you to a joint evening with a screening of “The King of the Weinviertel”, a production of the Werner Trenker Collection.
In 2023, a film team led by entrepreneur and art collector Werner Trenker set out in search of traces of Hermann Nitsch in the Weinviertel. A landscape about which the artist said: “[…] the landscape of the Weinviertel, which for me is one of the most unspoiled and beautiful in the world. it is a landscape that offers conditions for an ideal life, in addition to the normal possibility of life for the preservation of existence, there is the serene elevation to intoxication. once again, I love the paradisiacal living space that this landscape provides. my ideas of life, of intense existence, find their correspondence in this landscape.”
