On Thursday, 29 August 2024 we will be celebrating the birthday of Hermann Nitsch with a special event. Join us for an evening dedicated to honoring the legacy of Nitsch’s late colorful paintings, a striking departure from his earlier works yet equally profound in their intensity.

PROGRAM

18:00 – Guided tour at the Wiener Aktionismus Museum (WAM)
Begin the evening with an exclusive guided tour of Hermann Nitsch’s works at the Wiener Aktionismus Museum. This tour will offer unique insights into the artist’s life and his contributions to the Viennese Actionism movement, setting the stage for a deeper understanding of his later works.

19:00 – Presentation and reception at the Nitsch Foundation
Following the tour at the WAM, join us at the Nitsch Foundation for a presentation of Nitsch’s late colorful paintings. To enhance your experience, we will be serving Nitsch wine, a perfect complement to the evening’s celebration.
