On view is a series of photographs taken by the Roman artist, Stefano Fontebasso de Martino, of the performance artist, Hermann Nitsch, during the 108th Action (Lehraktion), a performance that took place on July 5, 2001 at the Galleria Comunale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea – Spazi Espositivi ex Fabbrica Peroni in Rome. The action was initiated by Lóránd Hegyi and the Fondazione Morra in Naples and opened the exhibition “Le tribù dell’Arte II”, a project curated by Achille Bonito Oliva.
Stefano Fontebasso De Martino’s photographic documentation of Hermann Nitsch’s 108th action has remained unpublished until today and is now exhibited for the first time by curator and art historian Ivan D’Alberto.
The exhibition has been created in collaboration with YAG/garage, an art gallery in Pescara and the Museo Hermann Nitsch in Naples.
