On March 29, the exhibition “My Nitsch” opened at the nitsch museum in Mistelbach, curated by Karlheinz Essl, a longtime companion of Hermann Nitsch. Take advantage of a 10% discount on the ticket price for the nitsch museum during the Holy Week until Easter.

The show offers a personal insight into the visionary artist’s work and features selected works from the Essl Collection. Visitors are offered a new perspectives and exciting inspiration. Part of the exhibition is the “Room of Silence,” where visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a single work by Nitsch for 30 minutes. Karlheinz Essl developed this experiment in deceleration and contemplation as an antithesis to the hectic pace of our time, with the flood of images and information that bombards us daily.

In a neutral, protected space, there are two comfortable chairs and a single work of art without labels or commentary. Visitors may visit the room alone or in pairs for 30 minutes to concentrate undisturbed on contemplating the work. Afterwards, they can write down their thoughts in peace.

A time slot must be booked for the Room of Silence in the “My Nitsch” exhibition.
