Nitsch trifft...

Artist talk

November 17, 2018, 4pm

Under the title “Nitsch meets…”, Hermann Nitsch regularly invites well-known personalities to his museum in Mistelbach for an exchange of ideas. It started in 2015 with the author Michael Köhlmeier, followed by the director of the Jewish Museum Vienna, Dr. Danielle Spera, and the collector and museum founder Dr. Karl-Heinz Essl. On the occasion of the anniversary year, the artist is speaking with his friend, the famous journalist Michael Fleischhacker, about his extraordinary life.

The conversation between the Weinviertler Baroque Buddhist Nitsch and the Styrian-sceptical Benedictine child Fleischhacker will deal with being in all its observable manifestations: Religion, art, sensuality. Not necessarily in this order, but certainly not without humour.

The event is part of the exhibition “NITSCH – Life and Work”.
