Exhibition opening

October 20, 2018, 6pm

1335Mabini, Makati, Manila, PH

1335MABINI is proud to present the solo exhibition The Orgies Mysteries Theatre by well-known artist Hermann Nitsch (1938, Vienna, Austria). The artist is showing his works for the very first time in Southeast Asia.

1335MABINI gallery in Karrivin Plaza, Makati City, is committed to artistic positions and practices exploring mobility, history and critical engagement with collective memory and politics. The program examines concepts of autonomy in globalization, correlating Filipino and non-Filipino artists to articulate synergies and dissonances from this association of individuals. 1335MABINI is an international gallery solidly grounded in the contemporary art ecology of Metro Manila; our mission is to be a platform for outstanding and innovative art.

Established in 2013 in Manila City, 1335MABINI moved to the neighbouring city of Makati in September 2017, while the Artist-in-Residency Program (AiRPManila) remains actively engaged with the local community in the original location at 1335 A. Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila City.

For his solo exhibition at 1335MABINI, Nitsch will show paintings and works on paper he created between 1987 and 2010.
