Odore

L'art, l'odeur et le sacré

In January the Pauline Pavec gallery will host the exhibition «Odore» curated by art historian and art critic Sandra Barré.

«Odore» aims to promote the receptive sense of smell in the history of art. She works to illustrate the links between art, smell and the sacred. With works by artists from the 20th and 21st centuries, from Marcel Duchamp to Boris Raux, to Julie C. Fortier, including Joseph Beuys, Hermann Nitsch, Jana Sterbak, Christelle Boulé, Gwen-Aël Lynn, Roman Moriceau, Quentin Derouet, and others, it is a whole cultural aspect of the smell that will be questioned taking as a starting point its oldest application, that relating to the cult.
