Embodied Rituals

group show with Donna Huanca, Harminder Judge and Hermann Nitsch

In the group show Embodied Rituals, Galerie Kandlhofer in Vienna combines the artistic positions of internationally renowned artists. A selection of works by Hermann Nitsch, will be accompanied by works by Harminder Judge (b. 1982, Great Britain) and Donna Huanca (b. 1980, USA).

New wall-based sculptural works by Judge as well as paintings and an installation by Huanca will be juxtaposed with historical contributions by Nitsch. The presentation, which is being shown in this form for the first time in Vienna, establishes connections between the different approaches to gesture, ritual and transformation. An accompanying essay by Roman Grabner will provide further insights into the context and themes of the exhibition.
